Cookie Policy

Section 1What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a site you visit leaves in your browser. The site can read that file on your next visit. Cookies are not inherently a bad thing — the same technology keeps a shopping basket from emptying as you move between pages, and also powers the advertising networks that follow you from site to site. The difference lies in what the cookie is used for.

Browsers also offer other storage methods that do a similar job: local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage). These are not technically cookies, but because they can serve the same purpose, both the legislation and this policy treat them under the same rules.

Section 2Change your preference

You can change your cookie preference at any time, without giving any reason. Declining is as easy as accepting, and takes a single click.

Open cookie settings

This button opens the same window as the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page. Your preference takes effect as soon as it is saved; if you switch off analytics cookies, any Google cookies already written are deleted as well.

Section 3Cookie groups on this site

Strictly necessary — always on

These are required for the site's core functions. The only thing we store in this group is the choice you made in the cookie window. If we did not store it, we would have to ask you the same question every time a page loaded — which would be both irritating and insufficient to meet our obligation to keep a record of your consent.

This record contains no personal data, is not linked to your identity and is not shared with third parties. Under the guidance of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board, no consent is required for this group; that is also why it cannot be switched off.

Analytics — off by default

Enables visit statistics to be collected via Google Analytics 4. Our purpose is to understand which content is working and to improve the site. This group runs only if you turn it on.

External content — off by default

Covers the Google Maps frame on the contact page. When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to Google and Google may write its own cookies. While this group is off, you see a button in place of the map; the map loads only when you press it.

The table below lists every cookie and cookie-like record used on this site. No cookie that is not on this list is used on the site.

Section 5About Google Analytics

If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 is activated and collects the following: the pages you browse, how long you stay on a page, the source you arrived from, your device and browser type, your screen resolution and your approximate location at country/city level.

Our settings

We do not use Analytics in its default state, but with the following privacy-enhancing settings:

• Advertising cookies off. In Google's Consent Mode we send ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization as "denied". Analytics data cannot be used for advertising purposes.
• Google signals off. allow_google_signals is disabled; your data is not matched with your Google account and no cross-device tracking takes place.
• IP address anonymised. In Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are truncated before processing; this is a default that cannot be switched off.
• Retention kept to the shortest reasonable period. Data is kept for a maximum of 14 months and is then deleted automatically.

Where the data goes

Analytics data is processed by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. on servers outside Türkiye. Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) this is a transfer abroad and rests solely on your explicit consent. If you do not consent, the code is never loaded and therefore no data is sent.

Opting out with a browser add-on

If you want to block Analytics on all sites, including ours, you can install Google's own Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (opens in a new tab). This is not necessary for our site — declining in the cookie window is enough.

Section 6About Google Maps

Our contact page contains a map showing the location of our office. This map is loaded from Google's servers and, the moment it loads, transmits your IP address to Google.

For that reason the map does not sit ready on the page. Unless you consent, you see an explanation and a "Load the map" button in its place. Until you press that button, no request is sent to Google.

Pressing the button loads only that one map; it does not create a lasting preference. If you would like the map to load by itself on every visit, you can switch on the "External content" group in the cookie settings.

You can also reach us without loading the map at all: our address is written out on the contact page and at the bottom of this page.

Section 7Withdrawing your consent

You can withdraw the consent you have given at any time. Withdrawal does not retroactively invalidate data collected up to that point, but it stops data being collected from then on.

When you withdraw your consent, the following happens:

• The Google Analytics code is never loaded again
• Analytics is disabled immediately, so that collection does not continue while the page is open
• Cookies beginning with _ga already written in your browser are deleted
• On your next visit, the map reverts to a button

If you want data already held on Google's servers to be deleted, you may need to apply to Google directly; that data sits in Google's own systems and our power to delete it is limited. If you would like our help with this, you can write to us.

Section 8Managing cookies from your browser

Independently of the cookie window on our site, you can also manage, view and delete cookies for all sites from your browser's own settings. Help pages for common browsers:

• Google Chrome
• Mozilla Firefox
• Apple Safari
• Microsoft Edge

All links open in a new tab and go to the relevant company's own site. If you delete all cookies from your browser, your cookie preference for our site is deleted too, and you will be asked again on your next visit.

Section 9What happens if you decline?

Almost nothing. This was a deliberate consideration when we designed the cookie banner: declining should not cost you anything.

• All pages, menus and the contact form on the site work normally
• No content is locked, no feature is restricted
• The cookie banner is not shown again — your refusal is a preference too, and it is stored
• The only visible difference: a button sits in place of the map on the contact page; you can load it once by pressing it if you wish

If you decline, we do not use any design intended to pester you, show the banner again and again, or pressure you into changing your mind.

Section 10Changes

If we start using a new cookie, or the purpose of an existing cookie changes, we update this policy. In that case the version number at the top of the page increases and the cookie banner is shown to you again.

Consent you have given previously is not automatically extended to new cookies; your consent is obtained afresh for every material change.
